Çäðàâñòâóéòå, ôîðóìëÿíå!
Ðåøèë ïîñîâåòîâàòüñÿ ñ Âàìè. ß åäó â ÑØÀ ëåòîì ïî ïðîãðàììå W&T. Ìîé àíãëèéñêèé äàâîëüíî íåïëîõ. Íî, êàê ìíå êàæåòñÿ, ñóùåñòâóåò ñëåäóþùàÿ ïðîáëåìà: åñòü íàáîð êëèøå, êîòîðûå ïðèìåíÿþòñÿ â îïðåäåëåííûõ ñèòóàöèÿõ. Ò.å. ÿ ìîãó íà÷àòü ñòðîèòü íåìåðåííóþ êîíñòðóêöèþ, à ìåíÿ íå ïîéìóò òîëüêî èç-çà òîãî, ÷òî â äàííîé ñèòóàöèè ïðèâûêëè ñëûøàòü èìåííî äàííîå êëèøå-âûðàæåíèå. Ïðàâ ëè ÿ? Åñòü ëè òàêàÿ ïðîáëåìà? È ãäå áû ìíå ïîäíàáðàòüñÿ âñÿêèõ âûðàæåíèé.

Ó ìåíÿ ó òîâàðèùà íà ðàáîòå òîæå îïòîâîëîêíî ñòîèò, íî Pal Talk èíîãäà òîðìîçèò èç-çà òîãî, ÷òî ÷åðåç ýòî îïòîâîëîêíî â èíåò õîäèò âåñü îòäåë. Êîãäà òðàôèê íå ñèëüíûé – âñå âïîëíå íîðìàëüíî ñëûøíî. Âîò, èíòåðåñíàÿ ññûëêà: Speed Test. Çàéäè è äîæäèñü ïîëíîé çàãðóçêè ñòðàíèöû (ó ìåíÿ ýòî áûëî íåñêîëüêî ìèíóò, íà îïòîâîëîêíå – äàæå íå çíàþ) è òû óçíàåøü ñâîþ òî÷íóþ ñêîðîñòü â ýòîò ìîìåíò. Íó è ýòî ïðîñòî áåñöåííî:

ß òàê è ïðåäñòàâëÿþ, êàê êòî-íèáóäü ïîäõîäèò ê àìåðèêàíöàì ñ òàêèìè ïåðëàìè! "Wash a motor-car"! È ýòî òîëüêî ðàçäåë "àâòîìîáèëè"! Â ðàçäåëå "âêóñíûé ñëîâàðèê" âàñ îæèäàåò, íàïðèìåð, òàêîå:
"Corn dog - ñîñèñêà â êóêóðóçíîì ïî÷àòêå èëè ïîäæàðåííûé êóêóðóçíûé ïî÷àòîê"
Òàê áû è íàïèñàëè "ýòî ÷òî-òî ñâÿçàíîå ñ êóêóðóçîé, íî ìû íå çíàåì, ÷òî". Íó êàê ìîæíî ñîñèñêó çàïèõíóòü  ïî÷àòîê?! (Äëÿ íåñâåäóùèõ: corn dog - ýòî ñîñèñêà â òåñòå èç êóêóðóçíîé ìóêè.) Âïðî÷åì ÷òî òàì àíãëèéñêèé, ñ ðóññêèì ÿçûêîì àâòîðû òîæå íå â ëàäàõ:
"Åñëè æå òû ïîëó÷àåøü permit, òî íå âîäèòåëüñêàÿ ëèöåíçèÿ íå íóæíà, ïîòîìó ÷òî permit - ýòî òîæå óäîñòîâåðåíèå ëè÷íîñòè [...]".
